Enjoyed the hickory burger with perfect, crispy fries. Was in from out of town and heard about the place from Jack Black. Loved the waitstaff but it is a small place so expect to wait a bit if you need more than 1 seat. Also it is CASH only so make sure you have some. Great old school counter vibe. Public parking nearby for $4 if limited spots are taken.

This is a fun vintage old school spot. You gotta check it out if only for the sweet crew who knows most of the regulars and serves everything fresh at the big horse shoe shaped counter. How can you not appreciate a guy who prepares your ketchup for you on a little paper plate, then brings hot French fries while waiting for your burger. On the burger front, they are tasty. I'm not a fan of sweet relish, which is the base of their special sauce. Next time I'd order a burger minus the relish sauce. But it was cooked perfectly, great flavor, a bit messy...original style was a hit for me. I really like all the vintage plates, paper cones in metal fountain drink cups and community feel. Tried the apple pie as well....so full...but hey it's the "Apple pan" right? For me, it was a little too cinnamon heavy although the fresh ice cream was a nice balance. I wish the crust was thicker and softer...mostly because I favor crust over filling in most things. Tasty treat and all around fun experience. I'd go again for sure.

Believe the hype! These burgers are A-1. I stopped by after being referred here from a local Burger Expert who ranked this in their Top 3. I had their Hickory Burger and it was amazing. Fries were cooked to perfection. When I walked in, it definitely took me back in time, great experience. Great chemistry amongst the entire staff. If you’re looking for a treat, stop by Apple Pan. Reach out for more Burger reqs Lastly, with these burgers being made since almost the 20s, I wonder who started the layering of the lettuce on the bottom? Pan or In/Out

This place has been here forever! I love coming here for a good burger. The place only takes cash so remember to bring some. It's a simple menu and all the food is good. Don't forget to save room for desert

Seating is bit tricky when there’s more than 2 in your party. You basically have to wait for another big party to leave to get seating. Food is simple but delicious. Waiter works nonstop from customer to customer, and he remembers all the orders. It’s a fun burger joint.
